Luca Ozzano is Associate Professor at the University of Turin, in Italy, where he teaches 'Political Science' and 'Politics and Religion'. He is convenor of the ECPR ‘Religion and Politics’ standing group, chair of the research committee 43 ‘Religion and Politics’ of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) and co-convenor of the 'Politics and religion' standing group of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP). He is Associate Editor of the journal Political Research Exchange (ECPR/Taylor and Francis) His research interests focus on the relation between religion and democracy in the contemporary world, and more specifically on public debates on religion-related issues (with a particular attention for gender-related and LGBT+-related issues), religiously-oriented parties and transnational religious movements. In 2016 Routledge has published his book (written with Alberta Giorgi) entitled "European Culture Wars and the Italian Case. Which Side Are You on?", and in 2020 he has published with ECPR Press/Rowman and Littlefield "THe Masks of the Political God. Religion and Political Parties in Contemporary Democracies".
