Abstract

This panel deals with the way reformers encapsulate different visions of democracy in the different institutional reforms they conduct, not necessarily limited to the representative model. The papers deal for instance with public inquiry, electoral system design in Spain, or electoral reform in Israel. It also contains reflections on participatory reforms, and on the determinants of citizens' attachment to different forms of democracy.
