Abstract

Many actors nowadays declare their commitment to sustainability, but there are important differences in visions of sustainability, priorities, and proposed solutions. This panel critically examines some of the perspectives that are often sidelined in mainstream debates, such as indigenous perspectives. Looking at different parts of the world and various governance arrangements the panel engages with important questions of colonial legacies, unilateralism and inclusiveness in the politics and governance of sustainability.
