Abstract

Recent years have seen a consistent and thorough scholarly attention to the question of which interest groups manage to attain their policy preferences under which circumstances. This panel aims, on the one hand, to take a step back and assess the state-of-the-art regarding lobbying influence while simultaneously addressing new analytical approaches and avenues for future research. On the other hand, a specific focus on the full policy cycle—ranging from agenda-setting till implementation—allows to reflect and gain new insights beyond lobbying influence related to only one specific stage often focused on in current literature, namely legislative processes and/or policy outcomes.
