Abstract

This panel combines a number of comparative studies, which address the behavior of political actors within parliament and beyond. It enriches our knowledge of how formal parliamentary procedures, organizations and agendas affect the behavior of MPs. Findings of the studies have important implications for research on political representation, responsiveness, and political polarization.
