Course Fees

Below are the course fees for the 2017 Summer School. ECPR members can save up to €284* and non-members €50. See further details below regarding the Early Bird and Loyalty discounts.

Participants can register for either a Short 3-day Intensive Refresher course, a one-week or two-week Main course, two one-week Main courses or a package. Please note it is not possible to take more than one Short 3-day Intensive Refresher courses or two one-week courses that run in the same week as in addition to classes you will be given assignments, projects and/or readings to complete outside of the classroom.

Early Bird discount ends midnight UK time Friday 21 April 2017

A 15% discount is available to ECPR members only on all courses if payment is made before midnight UK time Friday 21 April.

Loyalty discount

A €50 loyalty discount is available to all participants taking any course, who attended either the Winter School, Bamberg 2017, or Summer School, Budapest 2016. 

Registration

Registration opens 22 March and closes midnight 1 June. Once you have registered you are unable to make changes. To make a change to your registration contact methodsschool@ecpr.eu. Changes to your registration will incur a €25 admin fee. When you register you will be sent a registration confirmation email to the email address in your MyECPR profile.

Late registration fee

Registrations after 1 June will incur a €50 late registration fee.

Course types and fees

Short 3-day Intensive Refresher Courses

27-29 July (15 teaching hours / 5 hours per day)

Participants cannot attend more than one Refresher course.

Main courses: Research Design / Fundamental, Data Collection / Generation, Data Analysis (Introductory) and Data Analysis (Advanced)

Week-one courses: 31 July - 4 August (15 hours / 3 hours per day)

Week-two courses: 7-11 August (15 hours / 3 hours per day)

Two-week courses: 31 July - 4 August and 7-11 August (30 hours / 3 hours per day)

Participants cannot attend more than one two-week course or more than one one-week course that run in the same week as each other.

Please note to gain ECTS credits there may be an exam on the morning of Saturday 12 August (week-two and two-week courses only).

Payment 

If you register by midnight 1 June your payment is due 30 days after the date you register. If you register after 1 June your payment is due within 24 hours. If you do not pay by your payment due date your registration will be cancelled and your details removed from the Summer School programme. Your payment due date can be found on your invoice in the My Invoices section of MyECPR.

Your place on the course will not be guaranteed until payment has been received in full. Please allow extra time if paying by bank transfer. You can pay using a PayPal account, credit or debit card, online in MyECPR or by bank transfer. Our bank details are on your invoice. If paying by bank transfer the invoice number must be included in the transaction details. Bank transfers can take 3-5 working days to clear.

Please do not book or pay for your travel or accommodation until your course/s has/have been confirmed, which happens when the course reaches a sufficient number of registered and paid participants. You will receive a course confirmation email by 26 May at the latest.

Invoices and payment receipts can be found by logging into your MyECPR account and opening the My Invoices section.

Cancellation policy

In line with the Office of Fair Trading and EU Distance Selling regulations, there is a 7 day cooling off period following registration payment during which time you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund of the Summer School fee.  This policy only relates to registration, other items purchased may not be subject to a refund. 

Cancellation/withdrawal from the Summer School after the 7 day cooling off period and before midnight UK time 6 July 2017 will receive a refund of 50%.

Cancellation/withdrawals received after the 7 day cooling off period and after 6 July 2017 will not be eligible for a refund.

Invitation letters will be issued after the 7 day cooling off period.

Changes To Your Registration

Participants who request any changes to their registration will incur a €25 administration fee. If you wish to make a change to your registration please contact methodsschool@ecpr.eu

*€284 saving is based on a member taking a Refresher + Week-one + ​Week-two or Refresher + Two-week and the €50 loyalty discount.
