Know Before You Go

Important: Please ensure you are logged into the event platform using the same email address as the one you have registered for the event with.

All Panel sessions will be taking place at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. Please refer to the Timetable to confirm the room(s) for your Panel.

Plenary events, including the Welcome and Keynote Address, will take place across all three venues: Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore. Please refer to the Timetable to confirm the locations.

Registration will take place at Aula Magna at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies from 09:00 am on Monday 4 July. Look out for event staff, wearing red t-shirts with the ECPR logo, who will greet you on arrival and point you in the right direction.

Covid-19 regulations in Italy and Toscana region

From 1 June 2022, the green pass is no longer required to enter Italy from EU Member States and other foreign countries. Incoming travellers no longer have to fill out a passenger locator form. From 16 June, 2022, the use of FFP2 masks has remained mandatory to access and use the following means of transport:

  • Ships and ferries used for interregional transport services
  • Trains used in interregional, Intercity, Intercity Night and high-speed passenger rail transport services
  • Scheduled buses and coaches used for transport services between more than two regions
  • Buses and coaches used for rental services with driver
  • Means used in local or regional public transport services

From 16 June 2022, the use of a mask on the universities’ premises is no longer mandatory but remains recommended. The use of masks is also recommended in crowded places or in case it is not possible to maintain a safe distance.

When arranging travel and accommodation, please ensure that your booking is refundable.

It is your responsibility to arrange appropriate travel insurance. ECPR is not liable for reimbursing the cost of travel or accommodation made by participants.

We think that everyone deserves a positive event experience.

If you haven't already done so, please upload your Paper ahead of your presentation so that your fellow participants have time to prepare comments and questions.

To upload

Your Paper must be in PDF format and in English.

  1. Head to My Events in your My ECPR account
  2. Click Manage Paper > Browse > Select your Paper > Open/OK > Upload
  3. Click View Document to ensure that it has been uploaded successfully

You can also use this facility to replace your Paper or remove it after the event.

Please note that uploading your Paper via My ECPR constitutes an agreement for ECPR to publish the Paper on this website.

Your Itinerary is accessible through My Events in My ECPR and the event platform.

  • All sessions in which you have a role have been automatically added to your itinerary.
  • Add more sessions to your itinerary by clicking the Add to Itinerary button in the Timetable.
  • Times are displayed in local time (Central European Summer Time).

Session locations for in-person Panels are indicated in your Itinerary under 'Buildings'.

 

Want to add sessions directly to your calendar?
Simply click the Export to Calendar button in your Itinerary.

Familiarise yourself with the event by viewing the Schedule at-a-glance and Timetable.

Badges are required to enter the Panel rooms. Please collect your badge at the Registration Desk on 4 July. Opening hours are as follows:

  • Monday 4 July: 09:00–17:30
  • Tuesday 5 July: 09:00–11:30

For online Panels, a link to join will appear in your Itinerary 15 minutes before the start of the session.

To watch streaming of plenary events throughout the conference, including the Welcome and the Keynote address, or a selection of in-person Panels* browse the Timetable, add sessions to your itinerary, or click 'On Now' on the event platform during the event to see what's available.

*N.B All panels that will be streamed from Pisa have '*' in the Panel code.

Notice of photography/filming

ECPR may record all events in the form of photography, screen capture, filming, and audio recording of interactions such as discussions during Panel sessions, breaks and plenary events. This media may be used by us to promote ECPR activities. These activities may include publishing it at ecpr.eu, or using it in digital and email marketing, on social media, and in other promotional materials.

 

If you do not wish to appear in such media, please let our events staff present onsite know.
